Inspired by the geometric climbing holds at my local bouldering wall, the dainty little charms on these hoops were crafted by hand in fimo (no, seriously!!). After slicing and filing until I was happy with the angles, the charms were baked before being sent to be cast in recycled sterling silver.

These darling little charms sit on hand formed ear wires made from recycled silver wire (better for our planet) and measure 35mm from top to bottom.

Have you ever had an experience that changed the way you think about challenge? There is a well-known phrase ‘if at first you don’t succeed, try, try again’ – well I now think that only trying twice more isn’t enough! If it’s worth doing, it’s worth having endless tries until you nail it!

Erobre means ‘conquer’ in Norwegian and the collection was inspired by the relentless tenacity of the first climbers to conquer the Dawn Wall in Yosemite National Park. They spent 19 days scaling the climb, camping out on the rock face at height, repeating sections until they’d mastered them. Their experience got me thinking about the challenges we face and how often we let those challenges go uncelebrated – so I made a collection of jewellery specifically aimed at celebrating being tenacious.
